First, cook the bacon on a pan over medium heat. Cook until crispy.Pasta Alla Vodka (1)

Then transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to drain excess oil. Set aside.Pasta Alla Vodka (2)

Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and ground black pepper.Pasta Alla Vodka (13)

Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Make sure the stove is on low heat. (At this time you can cook the pasta).Pasta Alla Vodka (14)

Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.Pasta Alla Vodka (15)

Turn off the heat then add the grated Parmesan cheese…Pasta Alla Vodka (16)

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Cellentani pasta
  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup vodka
  • 1 can of 6oz tomato paste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

  2. On a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and butter to melt.
  3. Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato paste and vodka. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low then add the heavy cream. Stir until it forms a creamy mixture.
  6. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and ground black pepper.
  7. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Make sure the stove is on low heat.
  8. Cook the pasta according to package directions.
  9. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
  10. Turn off the heat then add the grated Parmesan cheese and bacon. Mix all together until combined.
  11. Transfer to plate and add more Parmesan cheese.
