Strawberry French Toast Roll-Ups

What you need: slices of bread, milk, egg, strawberries, vanilla, and filling of your choice (not in photo): Nutella, cream cheese, peanut butter.StrawberryFrenchToastRollUps0

In a shallow bowl, combine eggs, milk, and vanilla. Whisk until combine. Set aside.

Spread the filling of your choice (Nutella, cream cheese, peanut butter) on each slice of bread.StrawberryFrenchToastRollUps3

On top of the filling, place the sliced strawberries about an inch on the end of the bread.StrawberryFrenchToastRollUps4

Repeat the process on the remaining slices of bread and filling.StrawberryFrenchToastRollUps6

Melt the butter on a skillet.StrawberryFrenchToastRollUps9

  • 10 slices of white bread
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup sliced strawberries
  • filling: Nutella, cream cheese, peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
  1. In a shallow bowl, combine eggs, milk, and vanilla. Whisk until combine. Set aside.
  2. Flatten each slice of bread with rolling pin or glass.
  3. Spread the filling of your choice (Nutella, cream cheese, peanut butter) on each slice of bread. Then place the sliced strawberries about an inch on the end of the bread.
  4. Roll the bread up tightly and repeat the process on the remaining slices of bread with filling.
  5. Heat a large skillet and add the butter to melt.
  6. Dip each bread roll into the egg mixture. Then place on the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning them to cook evenly on all sides.
  7. Place on a plate and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
  8. Serve immediately.
